From Thursday, 27 March 2025, we will be back for you with the new exhibition
"Energy transition - race against time".

Founded in 1987 in two 19th- century factory buildings, the Museum Arbeitswelt Steyr (MAW) is Austria’s first museum of labour. The mision of the museum is to be a center of dialog and discussion about the present and future of our working society.

With the guest card "In Sum More" you receive a 20 % reduction on the entrance fee

Housed in two listed 19th century factory buildings, the first Austrian labour museum has developed into an internationally renowned exhibition, cultural and event centre since its opening in 1987. With exhibitions that change every year, cultural education on the pulse of the times and a diverse programme of events, visitors can explore questions about the past, present and future of the world of work and life.


Wed-Fri from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sat/Sun and holidays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Days off: MO and DI (special opening hours for groups on request)
