We complies with the regulations of the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG 2000). In particular, data is only used within the scope of contracts (§ 11 DSG) and measures are taken to guarantee data protection by ensuring that data are used properly and not made accessible to third parties (§ 14 DSG). Contractors, service providers and their staff are obligated to keep the data provided by users confidential and not disclose them, unless a legally accepted reason for conveying or disclose the data provided in confidence or made accessible (§ 15 DSG) is given.

Liability exclusion

Despite utter care during selection and presentation, there is no claim to correctness and completeness; liability for the contents is explicitly excluded. Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called cookies, which are text files that are saved on your computer and make an analysis of your use of the website possible. The information generated by the cookies regarding your use of the website (including your IP address) is transferred to a server of Google’s in the USA and saved there. Google will use this information to analyse your use of the website, to compile reports about the website activities for the website operator and to provide further services associated with the use of the website and of the Internet. Oberösterreich Tourismus only uses these data to optimise its website and to conduct market research.

Google will also transfer this information to third parties if this is legally stipulated or if third parties process these data on behalf of Google. Further information about Google Analytics is available on the Internet or at www.google.com/analytics.

Data protection is of great importance to Oberösterreich Tourismus. We therefore use the “_anonymizeIp()” function, which abbreviates IP addresses and excludes a personal association. The collection and storage of data can be objected to at any time regarding future use. In addition, you have the possibility to stop tracking completely. To do so, you just have to click on the “Deactivate” button. In order for the objection to take lasting effect, your browser has to accept cookies. Alternatively, you can object to data collection by using a Google browser plugin: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

Use of Facebook plugins

On this website, plugins of the social network – operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”) and recognisable by the Facebook logo (white “f” on a blue square or symbol with “thumbs up”) or marked with “Facebook social plugin” – also visible at http://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/. If you access pages of our Internet presence that have such plugins and if your browser is configured accordingly, a connection is established with the Facebook servers and the plugin appears on the Internet site via a notification to your browser. By doing so, information is sent to the Facebook servers about which of our webpages you have visited. If you are logged onto Facebook as a member, Facebook attributes this information to your personal Facebook user account. Upon using the plugin functions (e.g. by clicking on the “Like” button or entering a comment), this information is attributed to your Facebook account.

We have no influence on the amount of data that Facebook collects with the help of this this plugin. As far as we are informed, Facebook received the information that you have visited the corresponding page of our Internet presence by means of embedding plugins. By pressing the “Like” button or entering a comment, the corresponding information is sent by your browser directly to Facebook and stored there. If you are not a member of Facebook, it is still possible that Facebook finds out and saves your IP address. More information about the collection and use of data by Facebook as well as your rights in this regard and ways to protect your privacy can be found in the data protection information of Facebook at www.facebook.com/policy.php.

If you are a member of Facebook and want to prevent the collection and attribution of your data saved by Facebook, you have to log off of Facebook before visiting our Internet presence; it is not sufficent to simply close the page. A further possibility is blocking Facebook social plugins with add-ons for your browser, e.g. using the “Facebook Blocker” at http://webgraph.com/resources/facebookblocker/.
