Vitreous humour

Ageing as well as high-degree myopia (short-sightedness) can lead to harmless, but nevertheless an annoying symptom for the patient: vitreous humour.

Typically, these floaters appear as flying midges or spider webs and seem to be delayed as vitreous bodies during eye movements. These floaters appear more clearly particularly in bright light and when looking at white backgrounds. In the long term, they often decrease and after a period of time are no longer considered to be so annoying.

After eye iontophoresis treatments in Bad Hall patients claim time and time again that these floaters have become much lighter, they are not as annoying or they have become smaller.
