The church “St. Margarethen am Anger im Markt Hall” was first mentioned in documents in 1298.
The church which is often known as the "church under the seven linden trees"
has been standing for much longer though, because in 1280 St. Margarethen am Anger was used to hold court sessions and mayoral elections.
As a result of its importance for civic life, St Margarethen’s chapel became a landmark for the coat of arms bestowed on Hall.
You can visit the chapel at any time without advance notification.
