The most beautiful rural rococo church in Austria.
Gothic-baroque-rococo: originally a gothic building (1326) with a single-bay choir with a 5/8 conclusion; the lower part of the west tower was added in the middle of the 15th century.
It was completely rebuilt in the baroque style with the interior design “Gem of the Upper Austrian Rococo” between 1744 - 1777.
Delicate spectacular rococo stucco work. Ceiling frescoes, paintings on the side altars and
stations of the cross by Wolfgg. Andr. Heindl, Wels 1740 - 1750.
High altar with tabernacle by Balth. Melber, Enns, 1740. Side altars with magnificent
early-rococo structures, 1740 - 1750. Six large oil paintings by Franz Karl Rempp 1707 - 1713.
