Tassilo III, Bavarian Duke and founder of Kremsmünster Abbey (777).
In 1999, this memorial sculpture was moved from the newly designed main square to the Kirchenstraße. It was made by the sculptor Josef Diethör (1919-2006). He also created the Grillparzer relief in Eduard Bach Straße, the crucification group in the Evangelical Lukas church, the Nikolaus fountain in Waldneukirchen and the village fountain in Adlwang.
