Clear decisions, handshake quality, and continuity characterize his company. AGRU customers appreciate the exceptional flexibility and quick response times of this flat hierarchy. And of course, the reliability of the products and the agreements made. As a true family business, AGRU is aware of its responsibility to customers, employees, and the environment. To ensure that our employees remain fit and healthy in the long term, we offer various corporate health promotion measures. An important role in this is also played by our open communication culture as well as the good working atmosphere within the family business.
Alois Gruber Sr. founded a metalworking shop in Bad Hall and an anodizing company in Grünburg in 1948. In the 1950s, the metalworking business was dissolved and the focus shifted to the anodizing company, which was expanded to include powder coating and a wet painting facility. These competencies are now consolidated in Grünburg, Upper Austria, at AGRU Surface Technology GmbH.
The actual cornerstone of our current market position in plastic technology was laid by Alois Gruber Sr. in 1961 with the decision to start plastic pipe production. In the following years, this area was continuously expanded. Initially with the production of polypropylene and polyethylene pipes, later also through the manufacture of sheets, solid rods, and welding wire made of plastic. The first injection molds for the production of fittings for pipeline construction were put into operation in 1966.
In the following years, AGRU further expanded its headquarters in Bad Hall and expanded internationally. In 1998, Mag. Alois Gruber took over his father's business. Since then, AGRU has focused on further expanding and optimizing its plastic production program.
