Goiters, lues and the eye doctor
On this tour, you can find out how the spa town of Bad Hall came into being and what miraculous effects the iodine-bromine healing water has.
The tour starts at the tourist office in front of the Kurhaus. The path leads down to the "cradle of the spa", the millennia-old Tassilo spring, with the salt boilers or the croup bread baker. Nobles, entrepreneurs, princes and industrialists met in the spa gardens, deliberately avoiding the poor people and scabby children, who were only given healing baths at night. The rich villa culture with its famous guests is the focus of the walk through the time-honored English spa gardens, where disrespectful naughty people also roamed. The spa doctor treated all kinds of illnesses, including syphilis and lues, which were whispered about. There have been extraordinary successes since the fundamental research into eye treatment. The 90-minute tour ends at the Forum Hall City Museum with an immersion in the old bathing world and the great successes of the Paracelsus Institute.Kurpromenade 1, 4540 Bad Hall
