Franz Lehar's great masterpiece with world hits such as "Freunde, das Leben ist lebenswert" and "Meine Lippen, die küssen so heiß" comes to the stage in Bad Hall for the first time in a production by artistic director Thomas Kerbl. With "Giuditta", his last operetta, Franz Lehar fulfilled his dream of having one of his operettas premiered at the Vienna State Opera in 1934. Picturesque settings with scenes ranging from a Spanish port city to the North African desert once again promise the atmospheric flair of the operetta festival.
